Antoinette ROZAN brings the museum's garden to life
during the winter season of 2024-2025

She has placed her sculptures on the grass and hung them on the walls. Her highly calligraphic paintings are reproduced on large tarps that encircle the garden, creating a joyful and colorful choreography.

Freedom, Movement, Paradox, and Energy are the words that best describe Antoinette Rozan and her work. Tirelessly, she explores these themes in both 2D and 3D, creating vibrant pieces that invite the viewer to be swept away by the deep energy of her art.

A few words about Antoinette

Antoinette was born in 1970 in Suresnes with congenital cataracts. Nearly blind in one eye, she couldn't see shapes or contours. At the age of 7, she developed severe scoliosis. Her vertebrae were fused, and her body was encased in a corset for several years.

It was in the 2000s that she discovered her calling as an artist: first with clay sculpture, then plaster, followed by painting.

In 2005, she created her first plaster sculpture, "FREE," an anthem to freedom and tolerance, and exhibited it for the first time in a gallery in Aix-en-Provence, where she lives and works.

In 2006, she moved to Hong Kong, where she fully realized herself as an artist.

She has created numerous monumental sculptures, the most famous of which, "FREE XXL," was displayed at the Hong Kong Art Fair in 2018.

Today, divided between exhibitions in France and Asia, Antoinette explores life through her paintings and sculptures, creating welcoming and joyful works.
